Rally for a Fair Budget, March 17

Wisconsin and Ohio are not isolated phenomena. Please make time on March 17 to join the rally at the capitol. This is an important opportunity to show mass support for a fair budget. The rally is sponsored by the coalition Our Economic Future — people will be coming from all over the state. We’re hoping to meet up with our classified staff colleagues there.

UFE Prepares for Contract Negotiations – Bargaining Survey

Contract negotiations have begun.  Thanks to all those who completed the online survey, attended bargaining forums, and/or met with your steward to provide your input on compensation, working conditions, and benefits.  Your input in all of these forms will inform the work of the Bargaining Team representing the United Faculty of Evergreen in the upcoming contract negotiations,  helping ensure that the contract addresses the priorities of all faculty members.

UFE Stewards Council ratify MOU on Voluntary Retirement Incentive Program

On Friday January 28 your UFE negotiating team reached an agreement with the College on a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the Voluntary Retirement Incentive Program for Faculty. On Tuesday February 1, your UFE Stewards Council considered the MOU and ratified it unanimously. Central features of the Voluntary Retirement Incentive Program include a lump sum payment in the amount of $30,000 for eligible faculty members (permanent status) and the option of using the lump sum to pay for continuing health care premiums through the Health Care Authority.
